D’Lyfa Reilly serves up a double dose of rap goodness, with “Shoreline” and “Time & Tide” [Video]

The name D’Lyfa Reilly has been synonymous with the UK hip-hop scene since his early breakthrough in the 2010’s. His clever wordplay and flows coupled with his northern accent instantly made him stand out. Whilst his peers may have ventured into new sounds such as Afrobeat and drill, D’Lyfa has stuck to pure rap music. 

After a hiatus which left many people wondering where he’d gone, the Manchester born rapper came back earlier this year. This time around, he teamed up with Village Live beat-wizard Aver. The pair worked exclusively together on D’Lyfa’s brand new album Time and Tide. We featured the first cut from the album “Out of The Darkness”, and now he’s back with the follow up single “Shoreline”. As expected, it’s another boom-bap inspired gem, with gritty production complimenting D’Lyfa’s tone so well. His wordplay goes crazy again, with lines like “knocked for six like a pink ball, I’m snookered” proving he can compete with some of the best.. The monotone visuals see the Mancunian wordsmith down by the water, spitting his rhymes into the camera.

“Shoreline” is taken from D’Lyfa’s brand new album Time & Tide, which is available now. Aver also has a new release out too, in memory of Village Live founder Joey Deez. D’Lyfa also dropped a surprise video for the title track from the album. It is again another slice of pure rap gold.
