Coi Leray Responds to Latto and Trippie Redd’s Previous Mentions on New ‘Blue Moon’ EP

The verse seems to be in direct response to Latto’s line on “Put It On Da Floor,” where she raps, “Smokin’ on that gas, blunt big as Coi Leray / Bitches like to run they mouth, but I’m the type to run a fade.”

Coi Leray initially wasn’t feeling the verse and took offense to it but later felt maybe she overreacted in a since-deleted tweet. According to Leray, she made it clear she doesn’t want her name mentioned for clickbait, especially from people she doesn’t have in her circle.

“Maybe I over reacted idk,” she wrote. “End of the day. Don’t say my name for clicks and likes. Specially if we don’t speak or communicate. I’m not a big blunt small blunt. Don’t compare me to nada. Mention bitches you actually beef with.”

She continued, “Put it on the floor but leave me out of the bs. … There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes. Y’all don’t be knowing the half of the shit that goes on in this shit. But the main goal is ICON SHIT. If it don’t make me rich or better person. Stay away.”

Latto changed her verse on the official remix with Cardi B and even shouted out Coi Leray during her Coachella set, which the latter seemed to have accepted at the time. Leray also tweeted she didn’t want to be in a beef with Latto.

“It was the diss record with my name on it that confused me,” she wrote. “Much love to Latto! Appreciate the compliment.”
