Chicago-based Recording Artist Weasel Sims Drops Transformative 8-Track EP, “Aim High”
Hailing from the West side of Chicago, Weasel Sims first rose to prominence after being featured in the History Channel’s Gangland series. Though he has navigated through several brushes with the law, Sims has remained consistent with music, sharing his two most recent albums during the pandemic, in collaboration with longtime friend Jae Haze.
Addressing his rugged journey towards positive change, Weasel Sims returns with a transformative, solo EP titled “Aim High,” entirely produced by D.jbari.
“I made aim high because my situation, at that time period, was lower than my expectations I had for myself. I had to realign my thinking and situation to be able to shoot the proper shot at my goals. Aim high was the starting process of me making more out of life. And I always heard that if you aim higher than your target that you’re bound to hit something,” Sims shares with us.
Features off the Mike Jaxx-executive produced project include King Trxll, Kapitol P, Jae Haze and Anoyd. To complement the release of the 8-track EP, Weasel Sims also released the official music video for “Coke Raps Freestyle,” directed by Anthony “Atwill” Williams.
