Charlotte Lawrence tries to “Talk You Down” from the many forms of anxiety in her new single

After a stellar 2020 of releasing singles, Los Angeles-based pop artist Charlotte Lawrence has officially kicked off her 2021 with the release of her newest single, “Talk You Down”.

Following the releases of “THE END”, “Slow Motion” and “Joke’s On You” in the midst of a global pandemic, Charlotte’s newest offering in her already strong stable of tracks sees the pop artist audibly let her vocals take control, with an underlay of slow building synth keys and drums to guide the listener on the journey of dealing with their own inner turmoil: “Irrational fears are calling / Irrational tears are falling / Baby, I swear, I promise / That I will talk you down.”

Visually, Charlotte uses the guise of herself to paint a picture of anxiety and claustrophobia. Everyone deals with their emotions in different ways and people have all been dealing with so many different types of emotions in the last year. The themes in this song touch on anxiety and how to deal with it— by proverbially talking you down from whatever ledge you may be on.
