Cardi B’s Infamous Las Vegas Microphone Relisted on eBay for $1 Million

Cardi B’s infamous Las Vegas mic-throwing moment is back in the spotlight, with an anonymous man attempting to cash in on it.

As pointed out by TMZ, eBay user Mswus74 is selling the wireless Dynamic microphone for $1 million or “best offer.” The equipment also comes with a “notary letter from the company that supplied the equipment” from the day of the viral incident.

“First & for most, my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims that were hit with this infamous microphone thrown by Cardi B. back on July 29th, 2023, at Drai’s outdoor nite club,” the listing description reads. “Wishing them a speedy recovery… Overall, the microphone looks good, but there are some scratches on it. I’m not sure if those scratches came from it being thrown at fans, but please look at all the pictures closely. Any other questions, just ask.”

The mic-throwing incident went down during Cardi’s 2023 performance at the Las Vegas nightclub Drai’s. Footage captured by concert-goers showed Cardi on stage before someone in the crowd threw water at her face. The rapper immediately retaliated by hurling her mic at the audience member.

Shortly after the incident, Scott Fisher — owner of the Vegas-based audio production company The Wave — listed the microphone on eBay and eventually received a $99,900 bid; however, TMZ reported the sale fell through and the equipment was ultimately sold for $2,550.

Additional videos from Cardi’s Drai’s performance showed the rapper instructing the audience to throw water on her because she was “dying” from the 100-plus-degree temperatures.

After chucking the mic at the audience member, Cardi took a brief moment to address her reaction: “I said splash my pussy not my face, bitch,” she told the crowd.

Although the microphone incident didn’t result in criminal charges, it did lead to an ongoing civil lawsuit. The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, argues Cardi should’ve anticipated the water toss because she “made repeated gestures and statements encouraging concertgoers to throw water, implicitly authorizing and inviting light splashing from drinks.”

Jane Doe said the microphone moment left her with “severe emotional distress, shock, humiliation, and physical injury.” She is accusing Cardi of assault, battery, negligence and more.

The rapper’s legal team dismissed the complaint as a shameless money grab.

“This is a transparent and pitiful attempt at a financial shakedown,” attorney Drew Findling told TMZ Hip Hop. “Apparently, the opportunity to make money off a celebrity was too tempting for some law firm to pass up.”
