Bodega Bamz goes back to his stomping grounds as “The King” [Video]

New York emcee Bodega Bamz recently released his nostalgia-inducing full-length El Camino. The release continues his inhuman work ethic: in 2020, he gave us the trap-heavy, A$AP Yams tribute album Yams Heard This, then followed up with another offering titled La Chasse EP to close out the year. It’s not even March yet and he already dropped El Camino with the fan-favorite single “The King.”

The horn-driven beat produced by JohnBoy Beats is a perfect fit for Bamz’s off-the-cuff flow that also blends Spanish and English seamlessly while flexing his lyrical muscles. The visuals are directed by Wepa who captures Bamz in his element as he cruises around New York in luxury trucks pushing up on the haters and sending shots to the opposition. From the cityscape shots and seamless cut scenes, there is nothing fancy here, just that good old grimy hip-hop from the big apple.
