Bobbi Althoff Confirms New Relationship, Says Her Kids Have Met Boyfriend as a ‘Friend’
After two years of being single, Bobbi Althoff has let fans in on her new relationship.
The podcaster was a guest on the Tuesday (Aug. 19) episode of Nick Cannon‘s Wondery podcast Nick Cannon @ Night.
Althoff, the former host of A Really Good Podcast, confirmed 21 minutes into the episode that she’s been in a relationship for three months, over a year after divorcing her ex-husband, Cory Althoff. The ex spouses share two daughters, a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old.
An audience member asked if Cannon followed 28-year-old Althoff on TikTok, referencing a post showing the podcaster and her boyfriend with his face concealed.
“Come on. I mean, I do,” said Cannon, 44. “I don’t know what’s content and like what’s—”
“I wouldn’t post a fake relationship,” Althoff added.
Althoff said she feels like she meets “everyone on Instagram” because she doesn’t “go outside.” But it was mainly because her new boyfriend was “friends with a friend” that he approached Althoff, and they spent two weeks talking before they met.
The podcaster also confirmed that her daughters have met her boyfriend, although they currently recognize him as their mother’s “friend.”
“Well, I didn’t introduce like any of the other people where it was more casual that I was talking to,” she continued. “But once it was serious, and it was someone who I wanted to be in my life every day. But to this day, they still think he’s just a friend of mine.
“I’m not, like, kissing in front of them or anything,” she added. “Like, they think it’s just a friend they’re meeting. And just I have male friends who are around all the time.”
Althoff said that her new partner “really loves” her children and is “amazing” at spending time with them.
Last February, Althoff and her ex-husband settled their divorce, with Althoff seeking joint custody of their daughters. On Instagram, Althoff posted a statement about being “thankful” that she was married to her now-ex-husband.
“Our girls are so lucky to have him as a father & I am so lucky to be able to coparent with such an incredible father and person,” she wrote. “While our relationship did not work out as husband and wife, we will always be friends and I will always love him.”
