Blxst gets artsy on “Got It All” [Video]
If you’ve been paying any attention to the new current of west coast stars, then there’s no way you haven’t heard of Blxst. The artist and producer just dropped the deluxe edition of his breakout EP, No Love Lost via Red Bull Records, which features six new tracks and additional collaborations from Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga, and Bino Rideaux. “Got It All”. The sultry single features fellow LA-native Dom Kennedy. Last Thursday, Blxst released an accompanying music video. This colorful visual shows Blxst exploring an art exhibit and sketching on a pad with black women as his muse.
The self-produced, smooth sound of “Got It All”. As talented of a songwriter as he is, Blxst so eloquently sings to a girl who he’s got his eye on, letting his feelings towards her be known. For a moment in his verse, he interpolates Akon’s 2004 iconic single, “Locked Up”. Blxst has been turning heads all 2020 with his latest EP, No Love Lost. The EP debuted 14th on Billboard and has accumulated over 40 million streams and counting this year. Though 2020 has been as strange as it gets, when it’s all said and done, Blxst would look back and say that it’s the year when everything took off for him.
This visual was directed by Patrick “Blu” Haynes.
