At the end of 2018, Your EDM put out its annual Artists To Watch list and among the names was Blanke. While we knew, thanks to our relationship with him and his team, that he showed strong promise in the dance music world, no one could have predicted how much he was going to blow up in 2019. With a strong following of fans calling themselves Blanke’s Nobodies (join here), stellar performances at HARD Summer, Ever After Music Festival, Escapade Music Festival, and more Blanke has, in no uncertain terms, made 2019 his bitch.
Now to cap off an already stellar year, he’s just released his debut EP with Deadbeats called Change & Decay. Spanning four songs, including collaborations with GG Magree and Reaper, the EP spans a range of sounds and emotions.
Having only released “Incinerate” as a single prior to the EP’s release, Blanke makes a grand showing for the lengths he’s improved even just over the past year. Of course this doesn’t come as a surprise to those who have been paying attention.
In a personal statement, he says, “Change & Decay has been a representation of emotion and progress in so many areas in my life. I’ve never put out a body of work this size so it’s awesome to be able to tell a bit more of a story through my music.”
