Bay Area’s finest P-Lo keeps the circle tight in “Just Gang” video!

Proudly representing the cities whose sound he helped define, rapper/producer P-Lo is one of the most influential artists in the new wave of Bay Area rap. At this point his artistry is known for many things – producing hits for folks like Kehlani, YG, and Yo Gotti, having his songs blasted through the most popular video games (Madden NFL 19, NBA 2K19, NFL 20, FIFA 20) and tv shows (The Chi, Ballers, Mrs. Fletcher), and being the musical face of Bay Area sports teams (Golden State Warrior’s, Oakland A’s, SF Giants). Throughout the year the Filipino-American rapper kept his cameras rolling to capture it all. In his latest music video for “Just Gang,” he shares the footage and his tight circle of friends who hold him down.

“Just Gang” is a fan favorite from his new album SHINE and it’s become the homie anthem. The video gives an inside look into P-Lo’s hectic summer, including footage from his raucous hometown set at Outside Lands Festival, where he performed with the Oakland A’s mascot Stomper, as well as from his visit to the San Francisco 49ers training camp, and his forays to biker bars and skate parks. All while shining a spotlight on the Bay’s prominent Filipino community, offering close-ups to community members young and old.
Flipping the negative connotations of the word gang on his head, P-Lo is just like most of us who value keeping the loved ones close.
