Bahamadia – We Here

Bahamadia is poised to make her presence felt in 2019 with HERE, her first album since 2005’s Good Rap Music. In promotion of her long awaited LP, the lyrical phenom has released the powerful visuals for her single, “We Here,” a take-no-prisoners anthem intended to place the much needed spotlight on the issue of gender inequality that has historically, and unfortunately been way to prevalent in Hip-Hop culture. “It’s a celebratory tribute to the diversity of women who’ve existed, contributed to and maintained the pulse of industry and art associated with culture of all disciplines,” states Bahamadia.

Directed by Olise Forel for Moving Silence, Bahamadia pays tribute to both her predecessors and successors — including MC Sha-Rock, Queen Latifah, Antoinette, Salt-N-Pepa, Jean Grae, Sa-Rac, Rapsody and even burgeoning talent such as DJ Kool Flash and Chika. HERE serves as her fourth solo project on B-Girl Records and is expected to arrive this fall. Stay tuned for more music coming from the Illadelph wordsmith!
