Tommy Richman and Sexyy Red Takeover Miami in “Actin Up” Remix

Tommy Richman and Sexyy Red have linked up for the remix to “Actin Up.”

The track that originally arrived in February is back with a raunchier version thanks to Sexyy Red’s bars. “Bend it over, shake that ass, show that print/ Clean ass bitch, smell good, I ain’t got no scent,” is just one of the wild raps. Best to believe there are plenty more.

In the accompanying video, we see the two having the time of their lives in Miami. Tommy Richman energetically raps in different locales while Sexyy Red joins him to transfer her energy to him via a complex circular booty motion known as twerking.

In a statement, Richman revealed that she was his first choice to hop on the remix to the track. “When I made ‘Actin Up,’ I originally thought of Sexyy in the first place. An anthem for a rebel,” he said.

Back in November, Richman explained to us why he chose to leave his two most viral songs, “Million Dollar Baby” and “Devil Is a Lie,” off of his debut album, Coyote.

“I wanted to make an album that you can play front to back, from the first song to the last song, and then you just play it over and over again. This is my real art side. I was trying to make a vinyl record—not trying to make a playlist,” he told Complex.

“In my mind, the song blew up, so everybody already knew the song,” Richman continued about the shocking decision. “I wasn’t thinking about it from a logistics label standpoint. I’m like, ‘Oh, people already know the song.’ Let me put out the album.’ That’s literally the dumb elementary reasoning. But of course, if you put the song on there, the sales go up, and it looks better numbers-wise. But I just wanted to stand on business with that.”

Richman then expressed how the people around him reacted to his decision not to include his most popular songs on the album. “With some of my friends, they understood it, and they were like, ‘Fuck yeah,’ But everybody on the other side was just like, ‘What are you doing?!'” Richman added. “I just thought it would be cool.”
