Joe Budden’s Neighbor Files Lawsuit After Lewdness Charge

Joe Budden’s neighbors have filed a lawsuit against him, alleging he attempted to enter their home naked.

TMZ reports that the neighbors, John and Yuliya Aksoy, also alleged that his podcast is disturbing their building. The Aksoys have specifically blamed Budden, his podcast co-host Melyssa Ford, and the condo association, saying they have been participating in a “campaign of intimidation and retribution” for the Aksoys’ objections to the podcast.

The Aksoys said they have discussed their concerns with Budden, including excessive noise and him and his friends smoking marijuana in the building’s common areas, which they argue is unhealthy for their daughter.

The neighbors also complained to the condo association, which prompted Budden to call them racist. The rapper-turned-podcaster then claimed that he captured an incident of alleged racism towards him; John told the outlet that he hadn’t yet heard the audio.

On Dec. 31, news emerged that Budden had been charged with lewdness in early December when his neighbor said he saw the podcast host naked on their Ring Camera footage.

Budden later made a public joke about sleepwalking. “I just sleepwalked somewhere that I shouldn’t have sleepwalked. That’s what happened,” Budden said during an episode of his podcast back in December, adding that he sleeps “butt-ass” naked.

Joe’s lawyer, Nima Ameri, told TMZ that the complaint is just “a money grab attempt by a person we believe to be a racist.”
