Dave Blunts Drops New Track “First Day Out the Hospital”

Dave Blunts is back with new music.

The Iowa rapper kicked off the weekend with the release of “First Day Out the Hospital” — an uptempo song he first teased in December 2024

“I was hooked up to oxygen, when I sat down on that stage,”he recalled on the track. “Stupid bitch tryna clout chase, had to cut her off, she a lame/Don’t give a fuck about Isabell, ‘cause she only want me for the fam/ It’s my first day out the hospital, and my first day out the grave.”

Fans were blessed with an extended listen earlier this week, when Dave Blunts — legal name Davion Blessing — posted a 33-second snippet with footage of his workout regimen.

“I didn’t come in the industry to make enemies I came to make good music and take care of my family,” he wrote in a February 27 post. “However I will never let a [ninja emoji] or [woman emoji] play with my name. ‘First Day Out The Hospital’ drops TONIGHT!”

You can stream the track now on Apple Music or Spotify.

The release came just days after Dave confirmed a recent hospitalization. He shared the news in a February 18 video documenting his hospital discharge.

“Yes sir! I made it out!” he said while being wheeled out with an oxygen tank. “It’s my first day out, last day in.”

As he approached the parking lot, Dave told the staffer he no longer needed assistance and was able to walk. The 23-year-old then stood and shook the man’s hand.

“DEMON HOME,” he captioned the footage. “First Day Out Last Day In I’m never going back to the hospital!”

Dave is now gearing up to release his third studio album, which was expected to arrive last Friday. He told fans he had to postpone the delay due to his latest hospitalization but has yet to announce a new drop date.

He addressed the album delay on Instagram, after a fan questioned why it has yet to release.

“Damn man I need a minute I got all this GLP 1 going through my body rn,” he said, referring to medication that manages blood sugar levels.

Back in January, Dave Blunts was hospitalized and announced the news on social media after a video of him asleep in his hospital bed was leaked.
