C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s Mom Gets Poor Restaurant Reviews After Shading Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

C.J. Gardner-Johnson‘s mother has gotten cooked with poor restaurant reviews following Super Bowl LIX.

Following the Philadelphia Eagles’ 22-40 win against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night (Feb. 9), Gardner-Johnson trolled KCC tight end Travis Kelce about his team’s loss on Instagram Stories.

“Should’ve stayed w that thick s***,” the football player wrote, presumably comparing Kelce’s ex, Kayla Nicole, to his current girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

But as TMZ reported on Tuesday (Feb. 11), Gardner-Johnson’s mother, Delatron Johnson, has been slammed with one-star reviews and negative comments about her sports-themed Rockledge, Florida restaurant, King’s Grill. On Yelp, the reviews signaled the website’s “Unusual Activity Alert,” with comments being temporarily disabled, while Google has begun to remove the restaurant’s bad reviews.

In a 2023 interview with Florida Today, Johnson discussed establishing her previous coffee shop, Café Krewe 22, in 2020 when her son was on the New Orleans Saints team. Following Gardner-Johnson’s departure from the team, Johnson launched King’s Grill, with ‘King’ being her son’s childhood nickname and the middle name of her grandson, Cayden.

“I’m still pinching myself, coming from the background I have,” Johnson said about opening the restaurant. “This comes from being told I couldn’t and I wouldn’t. My hustle is personal.”
