Drake Gifts $45,000 to Fans After Spotting ‘Adonis’ Sign at Melbourne Concert

It wouldn’t be a Drake concert without a giveaway.

Even with the holidays long past, 38-year-old Drizzy was still in the gift-giving spirit for the first Melbourne show of his Anita Max Wynn Tour in Australia on Feb. 9.

During a break in the show, Drake spotted his 7-year-old son’s name, Adonis, on a sign held by a fan.

“We’ll start here with you because you’re showing a lot of love to my son,” he said. “On behalf of me and my son, we’re gonna give you 25 grand for your family.”

Moments later, he acknowledged another fan whose sign read, “Kiss me, it’s my birthday.”

“I can’t really see you from here,” Drake told the fan. “It’s a tough read on the kiss, but what I am gonna do is I’m gonna give you 20 grand and I’m gonna pay for a birthday dinner for you and all your friends.

“And if you want, you can come back to the show again. Both of y’all, if y’all want, we’ll get you tickets,” he told both lucky fans.

The rapper also expressed deep gratitude for the sold-out crowd of 15,000 while acknowledging the hard work and sacrifices his fans make to attend his shows.

“It really touches my heart that—through all of that, you still take your hard-earned money, and you spend some of that money on tickets to this show to see this kid from Canada get up here and talk shit,” he told the crowd at the Rod Laver Arena. “I really appreciate you. I would be nothing without you.”

Last week, Drake gave away $20,000 each to two couples during his second show in Perth, Australia, on Wednesday.

“You guys are from Perth—I don’t know where you’ve been in your life,” he told the giveaway winners. “But for both of y’all, I’m gonna give you $20,000 each to go wherever you want in the world because that’s what we do out here in Perth. You gotta show love.”
