ASAP Relli Testifies in Court, Claims ASAP Rocky ‘Pointed the Gun at Me and Said I’ll Kill You’
ASAP Relli, real name Terell Ephron, took the stand Tuesday in ASAP Rocky‘s gun trial, and he shared a gripping testimony in which he said he dared his former friend to shoot him.
In court, Relli recounted his relationship with Rocky, from meeting in high school to forming the ASAP collective alongside ASAP Illz, real name Illijah Ulanga, and ASAP Bari, real name Jabari Shelton. Relli also recalled what went down the night of the alleged incident and accused Rocky of pulling out a gun and shooting at him. He said a bullet grazed his hand.
According to Relli, he was present for a call between Bari and Rocky days before the alleged shooting, with the rapper explaining how their friendship had gone sour. The following day, Rocky allegedly called Relli numerous times while he was sleeping and eventually sent a text that read, “Let’s get to it … stop ducking my calls.”
Relli said that Rocky demanded the hotel’s location where he was staying in Hollywood and later showed up with Illz and ASAP Twelvyy. The former friends allegedly began arguing before Rocky allegedly pulled out a gun.
“He pointed the gun at me and said, ‘I’ll kill you right now pussy,'” Relli said.
Relli said he became angry at Rocky for pointing the gun and recalled saying, “You better use that shit. What the fuck you got a gun for pussy?”
He then told the courtroom that Rocky pointing a gun at him was the last straw.
“I was willing to die for my respect,” Relli said. “If this is what [Rocky] want to do, I still have my dignity.”
Relli added that Rocky put the gun away and walked off after seeing a couple walk by while Twelvyy allegedly put a knife in his pocket. Relli said after seeing that, he followed Rocky and Twelvyy, yelling that Rocky had failed the group before things eventually led to shots ringing out.
On his way out of the court, Relli got into a slight back-and-forth with a paparazzo who asked if he was concerned about being labeled a “snitch” for his detailed testimony.
In the footage by TMZ, Relli is walking out of the building when the man says, “Some people call you a snitch. What do you say about that?”
Relli responded, “Would you be a snitch if somebody shot at you?”
Relli is expected to take the stand again on Wednesday to continue giving his testimony regarding the alleged shooting in 2021. TMZ reported Rihanna would be present in support of Rocky on day three of the trial.
