Triple H on Travis Scott’s Future in the WWE: ‘Wonderful Opportunity’
Paul “Triple H” Levesque has hinted that Travis Scott and the WWE are in talks to collaborate very soon.
During the Monday Night Raw on Netflix Premiere Post-Show press conference, Complex’s Kylie Mar asked Levesque about Scott’s appearance. “You mentioned more to come from your partnership with Travis Scott, anything specific you are willing to reveal or what has been discussed of ideas when you talked to him?”
Levesque says both sides are excited about their upcoming collaboration. Scott appeared on Raw in the crowd to accompany Jey Uso to the ring for his match against Drew McIntyre.
According to Levesque, WWE fans will see more of the rapper. He highlighted how much love and praise he has for the business. Travis has been tossing out various ideas that WWE officials love, and fans could expect things to get rolling very soon.
“Travis is one of those wonderfully creative people, and he loves what we do. At least for me, when I meet with him, whether Zoom or in person it’s like this fountain of ideas that stuff just keeps coming out,” said Levesque. “Then we get done, and you have this list of stuff, and then it’s like, alright, let’s get together again next week or whatever, and let’s see what we still believe should stay on the list and what we take off. So there’s a lot of things that are up in the air, but we just talked about it tonight here. The next couple of days, he and I are going to get together and have a convo about where we want to go next.”
Levesque added that he and other members of the WWE, including company president Nick Khan, are “excited” to work with Travis and how much of a “wonderful opportunity” it is to work with an artist like the Houston native.
“The best part about it is when they love what we do,” said Levesque. “So when Travis comes back to gorilla after going up there with Jey and, he’s like a little kid, and he’s like ‘Dude, that’s so much cooler than what I do. The energy, the excitement level, it radiates differently. That’s way beyond a concert.’ It’s cool to hear.”
Scott had also premiered new music while attending Monday Night Raw. He had gone live on his Instagram before entering the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, where the show was being held. As he pulled into the arena, Travis played a snippet of his new song reportedly titled “4×4” while meeting Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
The connection between WWE and Travis Scott has strengthened over the last few months. During his headlining set at ComplexCon, Triple H handed Travis a custom-made “King of Hardcore” championship belt. The rapper also had WWE-themed merchandise on sale at this year’s festival.
