Melyssa Ford Responds to ‘Hot and Bothered’ Podcast Hosts for Saying They Stole Their Title: ‘My Sh*t’s Gonna Be F*cking Amazing’

Melyssa Ford brought the heat in defense of her new podcast, Hot & Bothered.

This week, the former media personality and video vixen has spoken out against detractors of Hot & Bothered, which is scheduled to launch on Nov. 1. But before the podcast could fully begin its rollout, the hosts of Hot and Bothered noticed Ford had a similar name to theirs and blasted her on social media.

The criticism towards Ford appeared to begin with Chris Bruno and Cedar Shamp, who alleged that Ford stole their show’s name and the “are you hot or are you bothered?” slogan that appears in their Instagram bio.

“I just don’t feel like that’s super original. I just, I don’t know, maybe I’m a little torn about that,” said Shamp in the video below.

Shamp and Bruno then claimed to not have known about Ford before the podcast title debacle.

“As Chris and I have made abundantly clear, we don’t know who Melyssa Ford is,” Shamp said.

“No idea,” added Bruno.

“Do we care? Not really,” added Shamp.

The hosts then claimed that a video of Ford shows that she had an awareness of using the same title as other podcasts, but that she thinks she’s “better” and has “more of a following.”

The aforementioned video, shared by Bruno and Shamp on their Instagram Stories, showed Ford explaining in a previous IG Live that she was “clear on the fact” that other podcasts had the Hot and Bothered name, but that the hosts don’t have her “following” or “zhuzh.”

“It is Hot & Bothered with Melyssa Ford, that is the difference,” she added. “Felt like by calling it the ‘Menapaud,’ I would be leaving men out of the conversation and I really just didn’t want to. Those two other podcasts are not really active and also I don’t really care.”

Ford concluded, “It’s Hot & Bothered with Melyssa Ford. So I’m not really interested in what anyone else is doing. My shit’s gonna be fucking amazing.”

Also appearing to shade Ford on Sunday (Sept. 30) was Mandii B, one-half of podcast WHOREible Decisions.

Ford would strike back to the disapproval of her podcast title on Thursday (Oct. 3), where she reacted on X. She also provided receipts on other podcasts that had variations of the Hot & Bothered title.
