Macklemore Fan Who Was Wanted by Police Gets Arrested After Joining Rapper on Stage

One moment she’s sharing the stage with Macklemore, and the next she’s being arrested by police.

As pointed out by TMZ, a 24-year-old woman was taken into custody last weekend after she joined the Grammy-winning artist for a live duet. The incident went down on Saturday, August 17 in Bratislava, Slovakia, where Macklemore was heading Day 2 of the annual Lovestream musical festival.

TMZ reports the woman was invited on stage to sing with “her idol” and documented the experience on social media. The problem? Well, it seems the woman completely forgot she was wanted by the police.

According to local law enforcement, “an observant citizen” had recognized the fan from the Interior Ministry Wanted List and immediately alerted law enforcement. Officers at the event went to the stage and allowed the fan to have her moment. Once the song ended, however, the officers placed the woman under arrest and escorted her off the premises.

Although the police didn’t provide details on the fan’s criminal history, Newsweek reported she had been arrested roughly five years ago for disorderly conduct.

According to local outlet PLUS 7 DNI, the charge stemmed from a 2019 incident in which the Macklemore fan allegedly disrupted a soccer match by running topless on the field. After spending a few days in pre-trial detention, the woman was prohibited from attending similar events and was ordered to pay a nearly $900 fine. However, the outlet states the woman never coughed up the money and has been evading police since June.
