Vocab Slick, Simone´ Mosely and Equipto share visuals for “When I’m Here” [Video]
Rapper and songwriter Vocab Slick celebrates the release of his full-length project Language with the visuals for one of the singles “When I’m Here”. The Nohokai & Starski produced record is a solemn and reflective affair and is underpinned by Vocab’s emotionally heavy lyrics and commanding vocal presence. The record sees him paying tribute to the people in his life who have passed on and how life can be unforgiving as it keeps spinning regardless. He is joined by talented vocalist Simone´ Mosely who ties the verses with her gripping melodic runs and fellow emcee Equipto who closes out the second verse with some candid thoughts for those who might want to claim they were close to him after he leaves this Earth.
Director Alex Diaz Pena‘s visual concept takes the trio to the cemetery where they lay tribute candles for those who are no longer there. The visual is straightforward with its gloomy aesthetics and use of various performance shots of the trio
The song is featured on his latest 18-track album Language available now. Stream Language on all digital platforms here.
