Max Green manages heartache in “Eyes Closed”

Heartbreak is just a part of life. As painful as it is, it helps us grow as a person and we are that much stronger for it. Max Green’s new single “Eyes Closed” voices the deep sorrow that can come from a relationship’s end.

The indie-pop talent showcases passionate falsetto gliding atop swirling danceable soundscapes. We can sense his oozing raw emotion come through the song, and the accompanying visuals really portray the dreamy laid-back vibe the song evokes. Though his latest release talks of immense distress, there is also some sarcasm to it as well. "Eyes Closed is about dealing with anxiety in the face of a break up. It's about losing someone who couldn't keep the integrity needed to make a connection last. Although it doesn't focus entirely on heartbreak, there's almost a sense of satire to the tone… like get over yourself… everyone deals with heartbreak at some point.”
