Smokepurpp transports to a neon mirage in “It’s Whatever” video
Dropping into a neon oasis, Smokepurpp delivers top tier humble brags in the new video “It’s Whatever” – “40 bands on a fit, it’s whatever / these invisible set diamonds wetter”. Bouncing off the Ronny J produced beat, Purpp struts through the shiny, Miami-inspired mansion, perfected with his signature bat wings and digital palm trees. Purpp effortlessly balances brash, angsty bars with the serene flair of a vaporwave dream. “It’s Whatever” is the latest single from Smokepurpp’s upcoming Florida Jit album (out June 5th via Alamo Records) and comes closely after the release of his chaotic, Office Space-inspired video for “Off My Chest” ft. Lil Pump (2.6M views).

The follow-up to last year’s Deadstar 2, which featured hit singles like “What I Please” ft. Denzel Curry (24M streams on Spotify) and “Dirty Dirty” ft. Lil Skies (approaching 30M combined YouTube & Spotify streams), Florida Jit continues Purpp’s steady ascent towards rap’s A-List. The 23-year-old rapper earned his first Grammy nomination this year for his appearance on “Costa Rica,” the Gold-certified track from Revenge Of The Dreamers III. In February, Purpp’s breakout single “Audi” earned Platinum certification from the RIAA, and his single “Do Not Disturb” went Gold. He’s currently turning heads with his guest spot on UK rapper KCI‘s “Poppin,” which has already generated 40M streams across platforms.
