Yonkers’ OG, Jadakiss, and weighty lyricist, Pusha T, release a new visual for “Huntin Season.” This fiery track is from Jada’s new album Igantius, which dropped on March 6, 2020.
Before pressing play, Jadakiss wants the viewers to be aware that the content is only used for artist expression. He makes it evident that it was not created to condone violence and that the aesthetic should not be taken seriously. That being said, Jadakiss cleverly uses the imagery present in the video to make a statement. Using metaphors, he demonstrates that there is a war between real rappers, such as himself, and those who are only here for the “clout.” Showing that he is a leader by being one of the only ones who remains in the scene, the visual impressively shows that he will survive and will take over because he is lyrically untouchable.
Being a perfect addition to Jadakiss, Pusha T is brilliantly demonstrated in the video as one of the other rappers who is walking alone in the woods and sees no competition.
