6ix9ine Trolls Lil Tjay Over 2022 Chipotle Shooting: ‘He Almost Lost His Life for a Burrito’
6ix9ine says Lil Tjay has been 86ed from all Chipotle locations.
The rapper made the claim during a recent appearance on One Night with Steiny, more than four years after he and Lil Tjay began exchanging online jabs. At around the 28-minute mark, host Aaron “Steiny” Steinberg pressed 6ix9ine on his and Tjay’s contentious dynamic.
“He wrote me,” 6ix9ine revealed. “I guess he was trying to beef with the Kai Cenat kid… I’m like, I’m not gonna get into the beef. So, I just basically kept going along with him, you know what I mean? Just to make him look foolish.”
During the online exchange, Tjay purportedly described 6ix9ine as “a funny rat n***a” — an obvious reference to the 2019 criminal trial in which 6ix9ine testified against alleged members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Blood.
“So, I’m like, ‘You a funny shot-up n****a,’” 6ix9ine recalled telling Tjay.” You know, because he almost lost his life for a burrito.”
He continued: “You know that burrito bowl… So you got your rice and beans, then they slide your bowl and it goes to the meats. Then right before you get to the salad and the [guacamole] and whatever, n***as hit that n***a. I know that he’s banned from all Chipotles.
6ix9ine was, of course, referring to a 2022 attack on Tjay. According to New Jersey authorities, the “Calling My Phone” rapper was shot multiple times at a Chipotle location. Tjay was reportedly rushed to the hospital in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery. The Bronx native addressed the incident in an August 2022 Instagram video, in which he sported a neck brace.
“Seven shots, it was tough, you know,” Tjay told fans. “Most people don’t survive it, but I’m here. Here for a reason. New music coming soon. We’re gonna come back stronger than ever.”
Bergen County officials later confirmed that 27-year-old Mohamed Konate was arrested in connection with the shooting.
