On Tuesday (Feb. 6), 50 Cent was flooded with praise from fans after his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin', turned 15 years old. In honor the anniversary, 50 paid homage to the man who launched his career back in 2003: Eminem.
"This is my Boy right here for life," 50 wrote after tweeting an old picture himself and Eminem. "l love this guy he gave me my shot, and l Ran with it. Classic #denthieves #POWER @Eminem."
In 2003, 50 Cent exploded on the rap scene with his colossal debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin. With an Eminem and Dr. Dre deal in tow, 50 whipped up a myriad bangers that resided on the Billboard Hot 100, most notably "In Da Club," which soared to No. 1. On GRODT, 50 also enlisted Eminem for two tracks including "Patiently Waiting" and "Don't Push Me."
His magnum opus debuted No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold a whopping 872,000 its opening week. By the end 2003, GRODT was six-times platinum after the project shipped over six million copies in the U.S. alone.
