I Can’t Breathe – H.E.R.

H.E.R has just released her protest song “I Can’t Breathe,” a track she recorded in response to the BLM movement following George Floyd’s death. The visuals are a perfect accompaniment to the song, as she compiled footage of protests against police brutality and systemic racism. The culmination of the music video is the shot of the wall of the names of those who have been killed, including Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. In the song, she has managed to write some incredibly powerful lyrics such as:

“These wounds sink deeper than the bullet your entitled hands could ever reach” 

Savannah Red –  Lékan Tella 

Nigerian-American singer-songwriter Lékan Tella has just released his new music video, “Savanna Red,” a track that displays his immense talent in a powerful way, while tackling the issue of a relationship fading away. “Savannah Red” is the second single he released this year, following his hypnotic debut track “Emptiness,” which introduced him to the listener in such a pioneering way thanks to his unique blend of soul, 90’s R&B, disco, and 80’s pop.

070 Shake return with a savvy blend of modern drums and melancholic synth on their new single and music video “Guilty Conscience,” off their project Modus Vivendi.
