Travis Scott is a man his word.
Several days after warning fans his plans to release a gaggle new songs, Scott delivered three new records on Monday evening (May 15), led by "Green & Purple," featuring Playboi Carti, "Butterfly Effect" and "A Man."
Upon first listen—and let's be honest, Travis Scott records don't require repeat listens and layered analysis—all three records are extremely underwhelming. From the poor mix (Mike Dean, call Trav right away) to the lazy artwork, "Green & Purple" (which is the best the bunch), "Butterfly Effect" and "The Man" sound (and look) like leftovers.
Scott has been very active lately, first joining Frank Ocean on the second version "Lens" and then assisting SZA on her new single "Love Galore." This summer, the Houston native will join Kendrick Lamar on his recently-expanded "The DAMN. Tour."
