Kanye West has made his grand return to Instagram. After spending some time at New York Fashion Week, Yeezy looks to have hopped on a flight toward the equator to Colombia, and it seems he may have captured some newfound inspiration on his trip -- that ultimately inspired his return to the 'Gram.
The 41-year-old posted sketches of his fresh discoveries that could provide some clarity to his future endeavors, beginning with a photo of a community embedded in the hills of Colombia on Tuesday (Sept. 11). He followed up with a sketch of the houses nestled in the landscape. "Buildings inside the hills in Colombia," he wrote.
During Monday's (Sept. 10) Queen Radio episode, Nicki Minaj shared that 6ix9ine called into her show while on a flight to Colombia. Tekashi and Kanye were spotted in the studio together over the weekend as well (Sept. 9). There could be something in the works between the pair of artists.
Outside of his Colombia trip, late Sunday night (Sept. 9), Kanye announced plans to one day teach a course back home in Chicago at the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Art, much to the delight of students in the area. The school hasn't been made aware of those plans and has shut down West's recent claims publicly.
The Art Institute's public relations director, Bree Witt, spoke to The Chicago Tribune regarding the matter on Monday (Sept. 10). "We're flattered that Mr. West would have an interest in teaching emerging artists and designers at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago," he said. "However, Mr. West is not currently teaching at SAIC, and at this time, there are no plans for him to do so."
