20-year-old Pittsburgh rapper Jimmy Wopo exploded onto the scene last summer with his breakout hit “Elm Street,” garnering tons fans and earning the crown for the city’s next rap star. He followed that with the successful project Jordan Kobe earlier this year, but was later locked up on a probation violation for traveling out state.
Now, he returns with a new single called “Westbrook” from behind bars. The song is produced by Sledgren and Deedotwill, and you can listen to it below.
When we spoke to Wopo earlier this year, he told us about some his early influences, the highlight his career so far, and what his plans within hip-hop are.
